Michael J. Harris assumed duties as the Vice President, Technical and Administrative Services for Capstone Corporation in November 2011 following one year serving as a Director for the Technical and Administrative Services DIvision. Before joining Capstone, Mr. Harris served as a Director at Serco Inc., a $1.4B services company, where he managed multiple contracts in the military personnel support business sector. At Capstone, his responsibilities include spearheading business growth and expanding Capstone Corporation's Professional, Technical and Administrative Support Services. He brings with him a wealth of experience in defense because he served for more than 27 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, retiring at the rank of Colonel in 2008.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Mr. Harris is a 1980 Distinguished Military Graduate from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia. He retired from the Army in January 2008, having served as the principal advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Army and the Secretary of the Army on the development of the Army's Strategic Leadership consisting of more than 300 general officers and 2600 Colonels. He served in a variety of leadership positions in the United States, Italy and Korea. He last commanded a brigade (8th Personnel Command, Eighth United States Army) in South Korea where he was responsible for providing human resource, postal operations and administrative support services to more than 33,000 service members and their families.
