Capstone on Winning Team for Energy Information Administration OMNIBUS Procurement 3 Contract
(Dec 09) On December 8, 2009, the Department of Energy announced the award of the Energy Information Administration OMNIBUS 3 Contract to Team SAIC, which includes Capstone Corporation. This contract requires Team SAIC to provide the following services in support of the Energy Information Administration: Information Management and Product Management; Energy Analysis and Forecasting; Communications Services and Records Management; Information Technology ; and Energy End Use Surveys. This was a critical win for Capstone because it allows capstone to continue its incumbent work in support of the Administration. Ralph Volk, Director of Enterprise Technical Solutions, will continue to manage this contract.
Capstone on Winning Team to Support SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston
(May 2009) On May 29, 2009, SPAWAR Systems Center Charleston announced the award of the Command Wide Management and Administrative Support Services contract to Liberty INDUS, LLC, Capstone’s teammate and prime contractor for this effort. Capstone has been supporting this contract as the sole teammate to INDUS for the past five years, and this award allows Capstone to continue to provide support to the Finance and Business offices in Code 10. Capstone’s work force provides financial management, acquisition technical support, logistics and asset management and administrative technical services in support of our SPAWAR customers. This contract is managed by Mr. Robert Reeder, our Charleston Office Project Lead.
Capstone Corporation Awarded to Provide Information Technology Services to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)
(Dec 2008) On December 11, 2008, Capstone was awarded a contract to provide information technology services in support of the National Records and Archive Administration complex. In support of this contract, Capstone will provide operations, maintenance and sustainment of the IT network servers, desktops and telephones for the NARA complex. Capstone will provide this support for both Archives I and Archives II in the National Capital Region, the St Louis National Personnel Records Center, 31 Regional Archives and Records Centers, and the twelve Presidential Libraries. To execute this responsibility, capstone will support over 322 servers, 4,000 desk tops, 500 lap tops and 7,000 telephones. Capstone’s Enterprise Technical Solutions Division Quality Management System Earns ISO 9001:2000 Registration
(Jun 08) On June 10, 2008, Capstone’s Enterprise Technical Solutions’ (ETS) Quality Management System (QMS) earned a 9001:2000 registration. This Quality Management System enables ETS to measure and improve customer satisfaction, to resolve performance problems and to execute continuous process improvement. The ETS Division ISO 9001:2000 Registration is a major step in the evolution of Capstone’s growth and ability to provide responsive, customer focused support for large scale, enterprise support contracts. Our registered QMS ensures Capstone processes and tracking mechanisms are structured so we repeat successful actions; employee training is greatly enhanced; our records management is disciplined and allows for rapid retrieval of information for our customers; and, most importantly, our work force is focused on customer satisfaction, resolving customer concerns and implementing corrective action and process improvements on a daily basis. From start to finish, it took over a year to put the processes in place and receive the ISO 9001:2000 Registration. The long term benefits to efficient Capstone operations and customer satisfaction will far outweigh this investment as we continually identify better ways to support our customers.
Capstone on Northrop Grumman Team Awarded DISA ENCORE II Contract
(May 2008) Capstone Corporation was on the Northrop Grumman’s winning team that was awarded an ENCORE II contract in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This contract is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) task order contract that provides the whole spectrum of information technology services to both Department of Defense and Federal Agencies. Ralph Volk, Capstone’s Director of Enterprise Solutions will have lead responsibilities for managing this contract.
Capstone Member of Raytheon Team Awarded Contract to Support Army Training Systems Command
(May 2008) Capstone was awarded a subcontract by Raytheon Corporation as a member of their Warrior Training Alliance to support the Army Training Information Architecture (ATIA)-Migrated (ATIA-M) program. Capstone will provide 12 personnel with skill sets that include Applications Engineering, Software Engineering, Database Administration, Programming and Systems Analysis. This work force will provide CMMI Level 3 transition and sustainment support to a new training information architecture for four Army training systems: Automated Systems Approach to Training (ASATS); Resident Individual Training Management System (RITMS); Interim Learning Management System (ILMS); and the Reception Battalion Automated Support System (RECBASS). This program will be managed by Ralph Volk, Director, Enterprise Technical Solutions.
Capstone Member of E.R. Williams Team Awarded Contract to Support the DOD TRICARE Management Office
(Nov 07) The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity announced the award of the TRICARE Acquisition, Automation and Resource Management Support (T/AARMS) contract to six companies. Capstone is a member of the E.R. Williams team. This contract will require the selected companies to provide administrative support services; procurement support services; budget, financial and cost estimation support services; systems and database management services; and information technology services, facilities and support. This contract has a ceiling of $50 Million. Ralph Volk, Director of Enterprise Technical Solutions, will manage Capstone’s responsibilities to support this contract.
Capstone Corporation on Team Awarded Contract to Provide Information Assurance Systems Engineering Support
(Sep 07) Capstone was awarded a task under the Army’s ITES II contract to provide information assurance system engineering support to the U.S. Army Network Command Northeast Regional Chief Information Office and the Enterprise Systems Technology Activity. Capstone will provide a network engineer and eight information assurance engineers to develop required documentation (engineer assessments, technical decision briefs, etc) and provide technical support to review, edit and develop engineering approaches to ensure the Region’s IT plans support the Enterprise direction while meeting Army information assurance policies and intent. This new contract increases Capstone’s work force from three to nine personnel. The task provides for a base year and four option years. Capstone Awarded Contract by Northrop Grumman Newport News to Provide Engineering Services
(Aug 07) Capstone Corporation was awarded a contract by Northrop Grumman Shipyard to provide network engineering and information assurance support to Northrop Grumman Newport News in the design and implementation of the networking infrastructure for the Navy’s Carrier CVN 78 Program. Capstone will provide a full range of network design assistance, network interconnection tracking, current and future information assurance technology research (Encryption/VPN/Cross-domain Solutions) and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) support for CFE systems and interfaces. This contract has a total value of $200,000.00 and will be managed by Mr. Ralph Volk, Director of Enterprise Technical Solutions.
Capstone on Winning National Security Agency Small Business Enterprise Technical Solutions (NSETS II) Team
(May 2007) Capstone, as a member of the Exceptional Software, Inc Team, was awarded one of six contract awards to provide the National Security Agency with technical and non-technical support services in the following functional areas: Business, System Engineering and Technical Assistance Services; Information Technology Engineering and Operational Services; Operational Support Services; and Training Services. This contract allows Capstone to compete on a task order basis to support the National Security Agency. Capstone on Winning MULTIMAX/Array Joint Venture Team to provide Department of State with Hybrid Information Technology Services
(April 2007) On April 10th, the MULTIMAX/Array Joint Venture Team, of which Capstone is a member, was awarded a contract to provide information technology services in support of Department of State. This contract is a multiple award contract awarded to 14 companies who can now compete for task orders to provide the following services in support of the Department of State:
• ADP systems development, support, maintenance and security
• Systems and software analysis and development
• Local/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) support
• Computer data entry operations
• Hardware/Software maintenance
• Computer security
• Support to the Travel Document Issuance Systems (TDIS)
• Various other services
MULTIMAX/Array’s Team will be required to provide qualified personnel to provide systems and software analysis and development; document analysis, development of systems design documents; computer programming; computer center operations; configuration management; software maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting; computer security; technical writing; training; and word processing. Services may be required for field offices throughout the United States and at overseas posts. The total value of this contract to the MULTIMAX/Array Team is $924,793,000 over five years. Mr. Don McMillian, Director, Civil/Military Operations will manage Capstone’s support for this effort.
Capstone Member of Northrop Grumman Information Technology Team Awarded Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES II) Services Contract
(Dec 06) The U.S. Army announced the award of the follow on Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES) Services contract, called ITES II to the Northrop Grumman Information Technology Team of which Capstone is a member. This contract provides the entire spectrum of information technology services to U.S. Army customers. This was an important win because Capstone is currently performing work in support the Regional Chief Information Officer, Northeast Region using this contract vehicle, and this award allows for the continuation of that work. This contract will be managed by Ralph Volk, Director, Enterprise Technical Solutions.
Capstone Awarded Contract to Support Design of Future Naval Forces
(July 2006) Capstone was awarded a contract in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, to provide senior-level analysis to naval and Joint activities for various naval warfare and mission areas including Air Warfare, Surface Warfare, Submarine Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare, Amphibious Warfare, Information Warfare, and Space and Electronic Warfare as they relate to the overall design of future Naval forces. Capstone will conduct analyses of the warfare/mission area requirements to determine currency of existing requirements and their relevance to future operations. Capstone will also assist the Navy develop future warfare and mission requirements based on latest technological advancements and develop alternative force architectures based on future world geopolitical, economic and threat contexts. Last, Capstone will evaluate the roles that sea-basing, FORCE Net and other evolving operational concepts play in future Navy force designs. Capstone Member of Keane Federal Systems Team Awarded Information Technology Contract in Support of Department of Homeland Security
(June 2006) On June 29th, the Department of Homeland Security announced 16 large business winners for the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE). Capstone was a member of the successful Keane Federal Systems Team. EAGLE is a Multiple Award, Indefinite Deliverable, Indefinite Quantity contract to provide Information Technology services to the Department of Homeland Security in five functional areas. Teak Keane was awarded a contract to provide the full range of Independent Test, Validation and Evaluation solutions to ensure all Information Technology products and services meet Department of Homeland Security standards, and are performing to defined design, cost, schedule and performance specifications/capabilities. Our team will provide best practices, technologies, tools and support to quality and operational assessments, integration testing and system test and evaluation, including security certification and accreditation, for Information Technology systems. WE will also provide independent verification and validation through the monitoring and evaluation of projects through activities such as assessments, process and procedure audits, project and performance management and systems analysis and design. John Oakes served as Capstone’s capture manager for this effort, and will initially serve as capstone’s Project Lead in support of Keane Federal Systems.
Capstone Awarded Contract to Support Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority
(June 2006) On June 9, 2006, Capstone was awarded a contract by the City of Portsmouth, VA to provide database technical support to the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority. This contract will require Capstone to load new software tools and conduct database reconciliation and error resolution to achieve federal government compliance for PIC records accuracy. Bob Brich, Director of Operations, Central Region will serve as the Project manager for this effort.
Capstone Corporation on Winning Team to Provide Information Technology AFLOAT Operations Support Services to Military Sealift Command
(Jan 06) On January 31, 2006, Military Sealift Command announced an contract award to Systems Research Applications Corporation and its Team, which includes Capstone Corporation, to maintain Military Sealift Command’s (MSC) information technology AFLOAT operations. This contract provides technology services for more than 125 MSC ships worldwide, including the operation of an afloat network and back-up network operations center; afloat operations support; the support of a mobile sealift operations center; IT training; command, control, communications and computer systems; and alteration and upgrade support of IT systems. The contract contains one base-year, three one-year options, and up to eight performance-based, three-month award-term periods, which if exercised; the cumulative value would be $108,496,686. Work will be performed worldwide at Military Sealift Fleet Support Command, Norfolk, Va.; aboard more than 125 MSC ships; and at other U.S. government facilities or operational locations world-wide. Capstone’s responsibilities in support of this effort include network operations center support operations and afloat operational support. Bob Brich, Director of the Tidewater Operations Center, will manage this effort for Capstone.
Award of EDS Commercial Contract
(Aug 05) On August 3, 2005, Capstone Corporation was one of twenty firms awarded a contract by Electronic Data Systems (EDS) worth $190,000,000 to provide Information Technology support services in support of EDS commercial enterprise contracts. Capstone will provide commercial IT support across the entire United States. The period of performance on this contract is five years with two one year option periods. Capstone was successful in its bid for this contract largely through its past performance in support of EDS on the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet Project and our competitive pricing as reflected through a reverse auction conducted by EDS. Capstone is excited with the opportunities this contract provides in that it offers Capstone an opportunity for exposure into new commercial markets, plus allows Capstone to strengthen its relationship with EDS as a strategic business partner.
Defense Security Services Information Technology Support Services
(July 05) On July 13, 2005, Capstone Corporation joined teammate TKC Technological Solutions in providing information technology support services to the Defense Security Services in Alexandria, Virginia. Capstone’s role in this contract is to provide system administration and field services support in support of the Defense Security Services information technology network. This is the first time Capstone has supported this client and this opportunity expands Capstone’s business base in the Information Technology business sector.
