Darrel Purdy, who is currently the Operations Manager of Enterprise Technical Solutions, joined Capstone Corporation in June 2009 as Deputy Director of Enterprise Technical Solutions. He brings with him over 30 years of Defense Department and Information Technology (IT) experience including Program Management, Project Management, and Capture Management. As Operations Manager, his responsibilities include Program Management, Operations Management, and the business expansion of Capstone Corporation's IT solutions and services business. Enterprise Technical Solutions currently has contracts involving information technology, information assurance, software solutions, and enterprise-level services for the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and National Archives and Records Administration.

Prior to working for Capstone, Darrel worked for CIBER as a Capture Manager and as a Program Manager of five Navy Contracts. Prior to CIBER, Darrel worked for VEDA at the Joint Training Analysis Simulation Center as the Model and Simulation Supervisor, Technical Integrator and Project Manager. He led a branch of 50 technicians and database developers in the planning, testing, and execution of numerous three-star level joint exercises. Darrel, having retired from the U.S. Navy, received his commission into the Surface Warfare Community from the Navy Enlisted Scientific Program. Later in his career, he had several tours as an Engineering Duty Officer with emphasis in communications and computer systems, serving as the Electronic Material Officer aboard the flagship USS MOUNT WHITNEY and serving as the Information Resource Officer at SUPSHIP Portsmouth.

Darrel has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Post Graduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He also has a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP), ITIL basic certification, and Association of Proposal Management Professionals Certification (APMP). He grew up in Raytown, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. He is married to Vickie (VanLandingham) and has three children and four grandchildren.
